A Lake Tahoe Wedding hosted at Chalet View Lodge in the Sierra Nevada mountain range

If you have not yet seen a wedding hosted at Chalet View lodge well… let me tell ya that you are in for a treat. Norah and Mike reached out to me to shoot their wedding because I have photographed a handful of beautiful weddings at Chalet View Lodge located above Lake Tahoe and just a short drive from Reno NV.  I couldn’t have been more thrilled with working with these two. They were glowing the entire wedding day.

Paulette was their planner which always gets me pumped because she does such a stellar job across the board. She even bought them a gold disco ball for the dance floor as a surprise to them because they mentioned it. Every vendor they chose I’d had the pleasure of working with before and I knew this was going to be the dream team! A lot of them have been featured in Vogue magazine, Wedding Chicks, Martha Stewart weddings, Tahoe Unveiled, and much more! I truly love working with other talented artists.

They had beautiful rustic tones and a stunning terra cotta color pallet with cream woven in.  Timeless florals (from Helianthus florals in Reno) with a hint of Sierra Rocky Mountain flare.  Her stunning floral arrangements decorated every square inch from aisle and arch to the dance floor. Every tiny detail of their day was focused on sentiment and feelings. They truly were that couple that you thought “wow, these two are really in love”. The thought and time that went into this big day was apparent.

Warm hugs and happy laughs filled their entire day.

Petite street calmed everyone’s nerves with their gorgeous (and delicious) wedding cocktails and adorable custom trailer bar. I HIGHLY recommend using them for a jaw dropping guest experience and ambiance to your wedding day if you are getting married in the Lake Tahoe or Reno area.

Epik weddings kept the vibes high and timeline flowing with truly experienced DJ class.

Oh, and shame on me if I forget how I was drooling over dinner weeks before this wedding because Chalets preferred vendor Blend co catering Reno was present and served us amazing broiled potatoes, perfectly seasoned broccoli and warm soft duck for dinner. Everyone had full bellies and hearts after dinner.

The toasts before the dance party had people belly laughing and crying all in one go. The community and heartfelt love that was present was really something special.

At the end of the night, I had the pleasure of grabbing a drink and busting some moves on the dance floor with Norah and Mike. I felt like family by the end of the night. I wouldn’t trade this job for the world. Being a traveling destination photographer helps me serve some of the most incredible couples. I get to experience love in so many different ways. This one was one for the books.
